Carely legal

Privacy policy

Effective date: March 4, 2026. This policy explains what Carely stores, what stays on device, and how optional sync works when profile mode is enabled.

1. Data we handle

Carely can store treatment names, dose details, medication metadata, schedules, intake history, profile preferences, language, timezone, reminder settings, and caregiver-related patient context.

  • Treatment definitions and dose timing
  • Marked events such as done, skipped, or snoozed
  • Preferences such as language, quiet hours, and medication region
  • Optional account data if profile mode is enabled

2. Local-first storage

Carely is designed local-first. By default, your data remains on your device, and reminders continue working without requiring a cloud account.

This means you can use the app in local mode for daily treatment management without enabling profile sync.

3. Optional profile mode

Profile mode is optional. If you explicitly enable it, Carely can synchronize selected account and treatment data across devices through the backend.

  • Sync is user-initiated, not automatic by default
  • Local device actions remain available first and sync follows in background
  • You can return to local-only mode at any time

4. Notifications, widgets, and watch surfaces

Carely may display treatment information in notifications, widgets, Live Activities, and watch interfaces when you enable those features. You remain responsible for choosing whether treatment names should appear on lock-screen surfaces.

5. Your control

You can review your treatment history inside the app, export medication consumption as PDF, switch language and region preferences, and choose whether sync is enabled.

  • Use local mode for on-device only usage
  • Enable sync only if cross-device continuity is needed
  • Export your medication history for a selected period
